What is a zine?A zine is an unofficial fan project in the form of a booklet with a fairly limited print run. It is a creation that often combines illustrations and texts accompanied by merch around a unifying theme to enjoy.What is this zine about?This zine is a fanmade project focusing on the post-canon life of two pirates: a blond chef and a green marimo. Many of us wonder what Sanji and Zoro will look like when their captain becomes King of the Pirates: their dreams within reach or already behind them. Let us explore their daily lives as wrinkles, hair and beards develop.Will the zine be digital or physical?
For-profit or charity?We would like to offer the zine both digitally and physically, including eventual physical merch.
This zine will be for-charity! The chosen organization will focus on helping LGBTQIA+ people in this harsh world and will be announced later.Will contributors be compensated?Everyone involved in the creation of the zine will receive a free digital version with any potential digital thingies that are made. Depending on fundraising, all contributors and mods will be granted a free physical bundle or will have the option to get one at the production cost!How old do contributors and mods need to be?Everyone who wants to be involved in this zine must be 18+ by the end of the application period.What dynamics are accepted?
Are cameos allowed?This zine is supposed to be a safe place for any dynamic between Zoro & Sanji. If the main representation expected is romantically, any other representation around them both can be included. You can draw or write our dear pirates with any sexual, romantical or identity gender as long as it remains SFW in the BASE zine and non-toxic. Any NSFW is allowed ONLY in the NSFW add-on.To be clear, the ZoSan, the SanZo and the ZoSanZo are ALL accepted and welcomed!Regarding any other characters, if they are not the main focus in your creation, you can definitely include them. Just make sure that Zoro & Sanji stay our main characters.Also, to keep the zine accessible, we sadly won’t allow OCs… Thank you for your comprehension on the matter!Will there be nsfw content?There won’t be any NSFW content in the BASE zine as we want it to be accessible as much as possible. That being said, artistic representations of nudity will be allowed (with no intent to abuse this exception).However, there might be a NSFW add-on for anyone wanting some spice, depending the interest check's results!Is it spoiler-free?Sadly no, because we want to let people interpret any content of the manga to create as many post-canon thingies they can.Will the zine be canon or non-canon/AU?This zine will be mainly canonical but any non-canonical event helping the creation of your piece is allowed as long as it takes place in the original world of One Piece without too many changes.Example: If Sanji wearing one of Zoro’s earrings is NOT canon, it can be included because it doesn’t change the original OP rules.If you have any question regarding what is allowed or not, please, feel free to contact any mod about it!

Guidelines

General guidelinesIf you want to apply and be involved in this zine, you have to agree with the rules, schedules and expectations of the project. In the case you are found violating one of those, the mods reserve the right to exclude you from the zine.• Contributors AND mods must be 18+ by the end of the application period.
• You can apply for multiple roles but will be eventually accepted for one only.
• NO GENERATIVE AI IS ALLOWED. If the mods found out that you used any generative AI or plagiarized someone else's work, you will be excluded right away from the project.
• Contributors AND mods are expected to join the Discord server if they are accepted. Communication is very important! This server will be as safe as possible so if you need an extension, to drop out of the project or any other help, please feel free to contact any mods. We are here for you during this creation journey!

Contributor Portfolio GuidelinesPAGE ARTISTSAs a page artist, you will have to create a single page illustration or a 2-pages spread illustration.• You must share 3 samples of your best work in your opinion, one of which must have ideally a background (more than a solid color). Please, try to show us works that represent the style you will use for the zine. Don’t be shy, share what you are the most proud of!• No sketches or WIP, please. Share completed illustrations (the amount of details only depending on your style).• You must share a portfolio of at least 5 illustrations (samples included). If you are using a google drive link or any other type of link, please make sure the permissions are turned on! If we can’t access it, your application will sadly be disqualified…• NSFW content is allowed but please, tag it accordingly!• One Piece and/or ZoSanZo art is loved but not mandatory.We won’t judge your art too harshly (any art IS A VALID art) but we will look for basic understanding in anatomy, composition and colors to keep a certain consistency and quality for the zine.COMIC ARTISTSAs a comic artist, you will have to create a 2-4 pages comic.• You must share 3 samples of your best work in your opinion, one of which must be a comic (at least 1 page). Please, try to show us works that represent the style you will use for the zine. Don’t be shy, share what you are the most proud of!
• No sketches or WIP, please. Share completed illustrations (the amount of details only depending on your style).
• You must share a portfolio of at least 5 illustrations/comics (samples included). If you are using a google drive link or any other type of link, please make sure the permissions are turned on! If we can’t access it, your application will sadly be disqualified…
• NSFW content is allowed but please, tag it accordingly!
• One Piece and/or ZoSanZo art is loved but not mandatory.We won’t judge your art too harshly (any art IS A VALID art) but we will look for basic understanding in anatomy, composition and colors to keep a certain consistency and quality for the zine.MERCH ARTISTSAs a merch artist, you will have to design 1-3 merch thingies.• You must share 3 samples of your best work in your opinion, one of which must be a merch design. • You must share a portfolio of at least 5 examples of your art (samples included). It can be illustrations, comics or merch designs. If you are using a google drive link or any other type of link, please make sure the permissions are turned on! If we can’t access it, your application will sadly be disqualified…
• NSFW content is allowed but please, tag it accordingly!
• One Piece and/or ZoSanZo art is loved but not mandatory.We won’t judge your art too harshly (any art IS A VALID art) but we will look for basic understanding in anatomy, composition and colors to keep a certain consistency and quality for the zine.WRITERSAs a writer, you will have to write a text of a maximum of 3 000 words.• You must share 3 samples of your best work in your opinion, one of which must be a One Piece fic. It can be excerpts of larger projects. Don’t be shy, share what you are the most proud of!
• Samples should be a maximum of 2 000 words each.
• We strongly recommend sharing a ZoSanZo fic under any form if possible.
• NSFW content is allowed but please, tag it accordingly!
• Please, share AO3 & Google doc links ONLY.We won’t judge your writing too harshly (any writing has qualities) but we will look for style consistency, prose and characterization.

Mod GuidelinesIf you want to apply and be involved in this zine, you have to agree with the rules, schedules and expectations of the project. In the case you are found violating one of those, the head mod reserves the right to exclude you from the zine.You will have to ensure the fluid management of the zine with the head mod and other mods. You will have responsibilities for your own role and will have to assist other mods as a team member. If we know that life happens, we would like to have members that communicate well, are active and committed as much as possible!• Mods must be 18+ by the end of the application period.
• You can apply for multiple roles but will be eventually accepted for one only as a mod.
• Everything shared for this project must be kept private during the whole creation of the zine. We would like you to be discreet and respectful about anonymity if there’s any.
• As already mentioned, mods are expected to join the Discord server if they are accepted. Communication is very important! We want this server to be as safe as possible so if you apply, you agree to be respectful, calm and to check up on the server regularly to stay updated during this journey!WRITING MOD (Previous experience not mandatory)Responsibilities
• Voting for the selection of the contributing writers with the other mods.
• Offering beta-reading and help to the writers if they need any.
• Checking syntax, grammar, punctuation and spelling of the works.
• Making sure the writers respect the guidelines and templates.
• Keeping track of the check-ins and potential extensions of writers.
• Communicating regularly with other mods regarding their responsibilities or any concerns they can have. (Life happens, let’s help each other!)MERCH MOD (Previous experience not mandatory)Responsibilities

• Setting up the shop with the help of graphic/formatting mod.SOCIALS MOD (Previous experience not mandatory)Responsibilities
• Managing the different social media accounts of the zine (instagram, twitter, bluesky & tumblr).
• Working with the head/graphic/formatting mod to prepare posts (promotions, spotlights, updates etc...)
• Following some guidelines regarding the posts to keep a coherent and safe "vibe" during the journey.FINANCE MOD (Previous experience mandatory)Responsibilities
• Creating and managing a budget plan for the zine.
• Working with the merch & production mods to keep the budget on track.
• Setting up and managing the necessary financial accounts.
• Making the final donation to the chosen charity.SHIPPING MOD (Previous experience preferred)Responsibilities
• Working with the production mod to keep a good idea of the physical items.
• Receiving, checking and stocking all the items that will be manuactured.
• Acquiring the shipping materials (paid by the zine).
• Packing & shipping all orders when time has comes.NOTE: If you are from Belgium, the Head mod can evantualy physically help for the packing & shipping part.
